Lafayette Fashion’s latest prints are inspired by images and references from the past, but with a contemporary look.\u00a0 It’s a way to make consumers feel comfortable and confident with familiar aesthetics, but spoken in a language with modern nuances.<\/p>

These types of prints give brands options inspired by a known graphic tradition, which is an especially opportune business move in times of major global changes, when the look of this type of print generates a feeling of security.<\/p>

A modern-day Belle \u00c9poque\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

This print is available in L\u00farex, a lightweight fabric with the ideal drape for summer dresses. The fabric is made with metallic filaments that, when printed, shine with the color of the print. The same print is also available in Bah\u00eda, a perfect fabric for developing bathing suit and bikini collections.<\/figcaption><\/figure>

As the name says, this print is inspired by the Belle Epoque, a time of transition between the 19th and 20th centuries.\u00a0 The pattern has a very feminine feel with its celebration of nature. It’s inspired by classic European gardens, the traditional graphic art of apothecaries, and the tapestries of that time period.\u00a0The illustrations are characterized by flowers such as pink and lilac peonies, and are rich in detail.\u00a0 Petal colors are managed in a way that gives greater depth to the print, while the pearl gray background with touches of blue is a neutral tone easy to combine with other colors. Each element in the image is intentionally arranged to be perceived as a traditional tapestry.<\/p>

From Hawaii with love<\/strong><\/p>

The photo shows several possible applications using this print. There are pants from Recycled California, our fabric made from polyester recycled from PET bottles. The bucket hat is made from the same fabric. And the dress with the large volume skirt is made from L\u00farex.<\/figcaption><\/figure>

This print is inspired by the historic motif called Aloha.\u00a0This traditional word from the famous Pacific island paradise takes us back to Hawaii’s heyday – the 50s – when surf and retro aesthetics were popularized with Hawaiian shirts, leis, and hula dancers.\u00a0This print picks up on many elements of the island’s landscape and tropical flowers. Hibiscus, birds of paradise, coconut palms, and endemic species come together in a print that speaks the ideal language for swimwear.<\/p>

A modern classic<\/strong><\/p>

These images show a variety of applications of this print fabric. The shirt is made from L\u00farex, for beachwear ready to coordinate with bikinis or bathing suits made from Bah\u00eda. The shorts are in Recycled California, the tote bag also in Recycled California, and, lastly, the sarong is made from L\u00farex.<\/figcaption><\/figure>

This print incorporates flowers along with geometric patterns and stripes and dots, making it very versatile. A soft tone of sienna green stands out among its range of colors, together with off white tones and salmon pink accents. One of the pluses of this print is that it works wonderfully for men and women, and it can be used for garments as well as for accessories.<\/p>
