Positive impact on the Community

The Lafayette Foundation serves as the platform through which we design and implement programs such as Hilando Empresa, Uniforms with Love, Social Enterprise, and the Lafayette preschool. These programs focus on capacity building, entrepreneurship, and improving quality of life. We draw on our capacity for innovation, leadership, and empowerment, as well as collaborative efforts that align strategies around the shared goals of a diverse group of stakeholders.

garment manufacturing with a social focus.
We reorganized the timetable to cover the entire process, from the initial planning stage by the donating association or school, through the workshop’s final delivery of the refurbished garments. We have made the contracting terms more flexible to promote inclusive procurement and partner with a garment workshop run by women who are victims of armed conflict. We have also started doing the sublimation printing ourselves at Lafayette. This has allowed us to reduce the program’s costs by more than 50% while maintaining the quality of the work

family and psychosocial support.
We identified two possible cases of children with special needs, and conducted exploratory activities that revealed behaviors inconsistent with their age. We referred these cases to the psychosocial department and implemented an action plan with activities that led to positive progress. This resulted in effective teamwork with the families.
In addition, the ICBF conducted training sessions for staff on modifications to the educational program, and we facilitated discussions on emotions and workplace harassment
